v0.4.5
pre-alpha current September 24, 2026 - Millennium Dawn 2.0 is out, and the main mod now runs what the beta ran: HOI4 1.19, change_relative_party_popularity, no radicalization system. Focus Forge now targets 2.0 for main-mod projects too. Relative Party Popularity cards export the new helper, the Radicalization card is gone (Validation flags any you still have), and new submods declare supported_version 1.19.*.
- New: … → Update for Millennium Dawn 2.0 migrates a 1.x project in one undoable step. It lists what it will change, then renames everything with a direct 2.0 equivalent across raw script and cards: add_relative_party_popularity → change_relative_party_popularity, Inf_equipment → infantry_weapons_type, util_vehicle_equipment → util_vehicle_type, NOR → NRY, GRL → GRN.
- Validation points at everything else 2.0 changed: 1.x helpers anywhere in raw script (now including decisions, triggers and availability), the 2.0 spelling of re-tiered equipment (infantry_weapons1 → infantry_weapons_1), and the new tag for a renamed one. The next export raises an existing mod's supported_version from 1.17.* to 1.19.*. MD 2.0 also renamed its focus-tree files (05_usa.txt, …); if your tree replaces MD's, the Export tab's Fix points it at the new file.
- Built-in lists re-checked against MD 2.0: the resource picker drops coal (MD has none) and gains microchips and composites; the fallback equipment and country lists use 2.0's names; the Power Infrastructure and Renewable Energy Infrastructure focus filters are offered, and FOCUS_FILTER_MILITARY, which 2.0 no longer localises, is flagged.
- Help → "My submod was made for Millennium Dawn 1.x" lists what to change.
- Icon generation now has its own "OpenRouter key for icons" in Assistant settings, independent of the chat provider: it works in hosted mode and with any own-key endpoint (xAI, a local server), billing about 3 cents per icon to that key. Leave it empty to reuse your own OpenRouter key.
